Steadely
Refund Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Steadely is sold by subscription to clinics. This page explains when we refund a payment and how to ask for one. It sits alongside the Terms of Service; where the two differ on refunds, this page governs.
Try it before you are charged
Every subscription begins with a one month free trial. You are not charged during it, and cancelling before it ends costs you nothing — there is no payment to refund, because none was taken. The trial is deliberately long enough to run real cases through the app rather than to click around it.
The date your trial ends, and every renewal date after it, is shown in Settings → Billing, and Paddle emails you a receipt for every payment it takes.
14 days on any charge
If you are charged and decide Steadely is not right for your clinic, email us within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask you to sit through a retention call to get it.
This applies to a renewal as much as to a first payment. A renewal that caught you out because you meant to cancel and forgot is the most common reason anyone writes to us about money, and it is a refund, not an argument.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. Your clinic keeps full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not charged again. We do not pro-rate the remainder of a part-used month beyond the 14 day window above.
Cancelling does not delete anything. Your records stay available to read and export, and you can delete your account and its data separately, whenever you choose.
Things we refund without being asked
- A duplicate charge, or a charge after a cancellation had already taken effect.
- A charge for therapist seats your clinic did not add or no longer holds.
- A sustained outage that left your clinic unable to use Steadely for a meaningful part of a billing period.
If you spot any of these before we do, tell us — we would rather hear it than have you disputing a line on a statement.
How to request a refund
Email support@steadely.app from the address on the account, and include the date and amount of the charge, or the receipt. That is all we need.
We reply within two business days and approve refunds the same day we agree them. The money goes back to the card or account it came from — we cannot send it anywhere else — and typically appears within five to ten business days, depending on your bank rather than on us.
Who takes the payment
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and the seller for the transaction. Paddle handles the payment, the tax, and the receipt, which is why its name — not ours — appears on your statement. James Anthony Neal trading as Steadely provides the software.
You can also contact Paddle directly about a payment at paddle.com/help, and manage or cancel your subscription from the link on any Paddle receipt. Writing to us is usually quicker, because we can see your clinic and they cannot.
Your rights either way
Nothing on this page limits a right you have that cannot lawfully be limited. In Australia our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including a right to a refund for a major failure — and a business buying a subscription at these prices is a consumer for that purpose. Customers in the United Kingdom and the United States keep their own statutory and contractual rights in the same way.
Where those rights give you more than this page does, they apply and this page does not cut them down.
