Steadely
Terms of Service
Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Steadely, practice-management software for canine rehabilitation and hydrotherapy businesses, operated by James Anthony Neal trading as Steadely (ABN 57 906 374 934). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
What Steadely is, and is not
Steadely records and organises information. It does not provide veterinary or clinical advice, does not diagnose, and does not decide anything about an animal's care. Every clinical judgement remains the treating professional's.
Where the app drafts text from a voice recording, that draft is a starting point for a qualified person to review, correct and approve. It is never saved to a record on its own. You are responsible for checking what you save.
It is your responsibility to work within the rules of your own jurisdiction and profession — including, where it applies, obtaining a veterinary referral before treating an animal and reporting back to the referring vet.
Accounts
You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the staff you invite to your clinic. Tell us promptly at support@steadely.app if you believe an account has been compromised. Accounts are for professional use; you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your data stays yours
Clinical records, client details and everything else your clinic enters remain yours. We claim no ownership of them and will not use them for any purpose other than running the service for you. We do not use your clinical records to train AI models.
You can export a dog's complete record at any time from within the app, and you can delete your account and its data from Settings. We will not hold your records hostage — if you leave, take them with you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload;
- attempt to reach another clinic's data, probe or circumvent access controls, or test the security of the service without written permission;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our agreement;
- use it to store information about human patients — Steadely is built for animal records and is not a human health system;
- interfere with the service's operation, or use it in a way that degrades it for others.
Fees
Paid plans are billed in advance at the price shown when you subscribe. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change prices, but not during a period you have already paid for, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change takes effect. If a payment fails we will restrict the creation of new records, but you will keep read and export access to your existing records — we will not lock a clinic out of its own clinical history over a billing problem.
Third-party integrations
If you connect Xero or QuickBooks, your use of those services is governed by their own terms and we are not responsible for them. You can disconnect at any time in Settings. AI-assisted capture uses OpenAI and Anthropic as described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability
We work to keep Steadely available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control can interrupt it. Because of that, do not rely on Steadely as your only record of anything you are legally required to keep — export periodically.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so. Where it is reasonable to do so we will give you the chance to export first.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded — including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and your statutory rights in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Subject to that: the service is provided as-is, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your use of Steadely in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us during that period. We are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss. We are not liable for clinical decisions made by you or your staff.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Non-exclusive means you are not prevented from bringing a claim in your own country where the law gives you that right.
